The Mountaineers'shot 830, the defending Western N. C. champion Wsurlors FUN Bank wrapped up Its second straight un defeated season Saturday afternoon when It defeated Plonk Department Store 32-32 to win the Midget League city tournament. FUN Bank, coached by Kevin Tinsley and Jeff Clonlnger, finished this season with a 19-0 overall record and had a two-year mark of 30-0. Lavar Curry scored 16 points and Wes Champion 11 to pace the win. Plonk defeated Nelaco 82-12 In the final game of opening night. Petty led the winners with 18 points and Floyd scored eight for Nelsco. FUN Bank eliminated Maner In Thursday's sec ond round, 37-18. Cham pion led the way with 13 points and Curry and Jay Schronce added 11 and 10, respectively. Jordan scored 14 of Maner’s 18 points. Plonk advanced with a 28-16 victory over the Broncos. Petty led the way with eight points and Hunt had six for the Broncos. In the battle for third place Saturday, the Broncos, scored a 30-19 victory over the Trallblazers. Hunt and Moss scored 12 each for the winners and Jordan had 11 for the losers. had 333 and R-S Central 338. East Gaston's Grant Hoffman, last year's association champion, was medalist with an 80.
