Patricia Oeter of Bessemer City has been crowned the new Queen of Sheba by the Cleveland Ominty Missionary Union. Hie annual program was held at Mt. Pleasant Bap tist Church In Bessemer City, of which Miss Geter Is a member. This la the only church outside Cleve land County Included In the missionary union. Miss Oeter won the crown this year because of her fund-raising efforts on behalf of the missionary union. She was crowned by Ms. Kathleen Blake, also of Bessemer City. Second place winner In Division One (larger Gtmztihes In the missionary idiMm Whs Mrs. ‘T. H. HUl of Lawndale’s First Bap tist Church, Bolling fringe. In Division Two (smaller churches) the first place winner was Mrs. Beau- lenia Adams of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Kings Mountain; and second place went to Mrs. Ruth Parker of Shelby's Light Oak Baptist Church. The funds raised by members goes to continue support of Cleveland County Missionary Union projects. Currently the union helps support Central Orphanage In Oxford, Shaw University in Raleigh, Home And Ftorelgn Missions and the J. J. Johnson Assembly Site In Laurenburg. Dinner Set For Helms Sen. Jesse Helms wUl be honored by a dinner at City Gym In Shelby Sat., Apr. 16 at 7 p. m. The dinner Is being q>onsored by the N. C. Congressional Club.
