Auditions were held April 1 at High Point Cen tral High. Mark plays the trumpet and Elizabeth the French horn. The Honors Band Is qionsored by the North Carolina Bandmasters AasoclaUon, a division of the N. C. Music Educator’s Association. Only 78 students from the state were selected. Those selected will re hearse at UNC-G In Greensboro on April 28 and 29 and present a public concert on April 80. The Honors Band will be under the direction of Francis McBeth, who Is natlonally- recognlzed for his com posing, arranging and conducting skills.
