Jennifer celebrated her birthday with a Raggedy Ann and Andy party. A Raggedy Ann cake was cut and served with Ice cream and other party favors. Her party was held at her grandparents home, Mr. . and Mrs. Charles Wilson of Kings Mountain. Those helping her to celebrate her birthday were Kim and Sandra Wright, Holly Roark, Natasha Parker, Osdg Smith and Brandon White. Jennifer Is the grand daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Blanton. Great- grandmothers are Mrs. EHzle Collins of Wlnnsboro, S. The Wyatts have three children, Mrs. Frances Whlsnant, Mrs. Betty Anderson, both of Kings Mountain, and Manson Wyatt of Gaffney, S. C. There are six grand children and three great grandchildren. A decorated anniversary cake was cut and served to family members and Sunday, May 7th, was Senior Citizens Apprecia tion Day at Kings Moun tain Baptist Church. All members 60 years a.id up were special guests at the 11 o’clock service. The entire service was centered su'ound them. Each lady was given a corsage of yellow car nations which was pinned on by ladles of the Young Couple’s Class. The men were given yellow car nation boutlneers. The center section of the sanctuary was reserved wldh yellow ribbon markers. Each member of the Senior Citizens group was ushered In by men of the Young Couple's Class. ’ITie ushers for the serv ice were Lisa Crawford, Laura Herndon, Ruth Ihillender, Trent Hullen- der, and Mark Smith, all grandchildren of members of the Senior Citizens group. Anne Hord and Krlstal Huffstetler presented a special anthem, “He’s Everything To Me” for the Senior Citizens. The yellow floral arrangement on the com munion table was also placed In honor of Senior Citizens. Mrs. Rick Bennett, representing the church, gave special recognition to Troy Carpenter, senior male member present, to Mrs. June Bell, senior lady present, Mrs. Helen Logan as the member with the most children and Mrs. June Bell as the member with most grandchildren. Rev. J. C. Goare delivered an Inspirational sermon, "Growing Lovely, Growing Old,” dedicated to Senior Citizens.
