The nine graduates are aU members of the five-year-old class In structed by Mrs. George Klepper. Other students are members of the Four-Tear- old and Three-Year-old classes. Tou’ll be delightfully surprised with the stage presentation of ’’The Sound of Music,” playing through July 3 at Pineville Dinner Threatre, near Charlotte. I have seen the movie at least four times and always think of Julie Andrews as Marla Rainer Von ’Trap swooping over the hills as the un forgettable music swells In the background. The stage at PlnevUle, Is of course, smaller than that of the original Broadway production but the same Ingredients that made the Broadway play and inoyle a hit make Plnevllle’s: superb direction by Michael Heaton, a professional troupe of children with strong voices plus the strong voices of the show stars, Jacqueline Reilly as Marla, who incldentlally resembles Miss Andrews, Frank Torren as Captain Von Trapp, and Jane Judge as the Mother Ab bess.
