WHI8NANT Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Eleanor Gardner Whlsnant, 82, of 607 Meadowbrook Rd., wife of Robert Guinn Whlsnant, Sr., were conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. from First Baptlat Church of which she was a member. several months. She had retired after 17 years of director of First Baptist Church Kindergarten. A native of Hartwell County, S.C., she was daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laurln Hicks Gardner, Sr. She attended Southern, Illinois University suid took ad ditional study at Ap palachian State University and Western Carolina Unlvers)^ Survl^dff^, In addition to her husband, are two sons, Robert Guinn Whlsnsint, Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Laurln Charles Whlsnant of Bessemer City; one brother, Laurln Hicks Gardner, Jr. of Camp Hill, Pa.; and one sister, Mrs. Harry Zebb of Raleigh. Harris Funeral Home was In charge of arrangements. Mr. Blalock died Sunday night at Kings Mountain Hospital. He was a native of Cleveland County, and a retired grocer, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. Leroy Blalock. MRS. MARY MORROW Havana Davis, 77, of Rt. 6, Shelby, died Monday afternoon In Shelby Convalescent Center after several years' Illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. from Victory Baptist Church of Grover by Rev. Ekldle Giigg, Rev. Flay Payne and Rev. Archie Chapman, interment following In Cleveland Memorial Park. Mr. Davis Is a retired textile mechanic. Mrs. Morrow, a resident of KM Convalescent Center, died Sunday night In Kings Mountain Hospital after a yesu-’s Illness. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
