Winners from the entrants in the "Spring In Shelby" Cultural Arts Festival Poetry Contest will be presenting their original poems In a Poetry Reading to be held In the Intimate Iheatre of Malcolm Brown Audltorlum-Shelby High School-Tueaday, Msu-ch 27th at 7:80 p.m. This year's winners include Bdwln Blanken ship, Sherri Benton, Aleta Green, and Betty Cabiness In the "Senior High" Category; Randy Waters, Unda ElUott Wray, Bobble Peeler, and Ruth Vaughn Self won in the "College and Adult" Division. Jean Morgan of the UNC- Charlotte English Department and Creative Writing Instructor judged the entries. Guest writers will also be participating In the Poetry Reading Including Dixie Dellinger, Agnes Lee Whitaker, Marilyn Or- choff, and Michael Goforth. "Welcome Cleveland County's rising talents. Celebrate Spring and put some poetry In your life!”, said a spokesman for the event. Lewis Family To Sing The Lewis Family of Lincolntpn, Ga. will ap pear in a big Gospel Sing sponsored by Ellenboro Volunteer Fire Depart ment Sunday afternoon, April 1, at 2:30 p.m. at Ellenboro School Auditorium In Ellenboro.
