Dan Wallace and Rev. Glenn Ballard, in terment following in Caaar Baptist Church Cemetery. Ledford, a resident of Kings Mountain Con valescent Center, was a native of Columbiu, Ohio, son of William D. Ledford of Forest City and the late Eugenie WUte Ledford. Surviving, in addition to Ms father, are his step mother, Mrs. Gwendolyn Ballard {.edford; a brother, George E. Led ford of Shelby; three sisters, Mrs. Debbie McGowan and Miss Monica Ledfnrd of Earl, Mrs. Cheryl Tallent of Polkville; a step-sister. Miss Rhonda Ballard of Charoleen; and grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. 'Ihurman B. Ledford of Shelby. The family has designated memwials to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation. Lutz-Austell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. MRS. MATTIE WILLIAMS Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Mae Williams, 67, al North Watterson St., who died Friday at her home, were conducted Monday at 3 p.m. from Good Hope United Presbyterian where she was an Elder and Sunday School teacher. A native of York, S.C. she was daughter of the late Robert and Essie Robinson Ashley. Em ployed before her illness in a family-owned business, she was a member of the Easteni Star. Surviving are her husband, Willis Frank Williams; four sons, Ar thur W. Williams of Charlotte, Warrant Officer Robert L. Williams of Germany, Billy M. Williams of Midland and Kenneth F. Williams ot the home; one daughter, Mrs. Wilma Hillian of Chesterfield, S.C.; three brothers, James Ashley of Charlotte, Willie Ashley of Asheville, and Thomas Ashley of Gastonia; five sisters, Mrs. Robbie Jeter of Shelby, Mrs. Viola Ratchford of Gastonia, Mrs.- Emma Goode of Greensboro, Mrs. Sally Eichelberger of Gaatonia and Mrs. Pauline Wilkins of Baltimore, Md. and three grandchildren. Rev. S.W. Alexander officiated at the rites, and interment was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Withrow’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. MRS. RUTH MAYES LAIL Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Mayes Lail, 61, of the El Bethel Com munity, were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. from El Bethel United Methodist Church of which she was a member, interment following in the church cemetery. Rev. Jake Golden and Rev. Frank Blalock of ficiated at the rites. Mrs. Lail died Friday at Cleveland Memorial Hospital after a five-month illness. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Georgia- Rosanna Brodway'Mayes. She was widow of Zollie Garfield Lail. Surviving are a son, Garfield Lail of Kings Mountain; a stepson, Marvin Lail of Orlando, Fla., three daughters, Mrs. John Boot of Salisbury, Mrs. James Hester of Lincolntond Miss Sheena Darlene Lail of Kings Mountain; two step daughters, Mrs. Mary Lail and Mrs, Paul Cherry of Charlotte; a sister. Miss Diedamie Mayes of Kings Mountain; and 16 grand children. Palmer Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. MRS. .I.AMES FLETCHER Funeral rites for Mrs. Mary Lee Fletcher, 54, of 409 Baker St., who died Thursday at 9 a.m. in Charlotte Memorial Hospital, were conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Harris Funeral Home by Rev. Ansel Center, interment following in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Fletcher was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conley Ware Kimble. She was a retired textile employe and a member of Piedmont Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Lamar Fletcher of Kings Mountain; a brother, Herbert Kimble of Kings Mountain; a sister, Mrs. Garfield Howard of Kings Mountain and three grandchildren. MRS. IDA ROSEBORO Mrs. Ida Roberts Roseboro. 72, of Rt. 3, died Thursday night at Kings Mountain Convalescent Center. She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Amzie McClain. She was a member of Vestibule AME Zion Church. Surviving are her son, Amzie (Buck) Roberts of Kings Mountain; her daughter, Mrs. Leola Roberts Sanders of Kings Mountain; two grand children; five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Sunday af ternoon at 3 p.m. from Vestibule AME Zion Church, interment following in the church cemetery. Rev. W.L. Adams and Elder S.l. Clement of ficiated at the rites. interment was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Sellers was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late William Samuel and Margaret Julie Beatty Huffstetler and the widow of David Andrew Sellers. Surviving are a son, Paul D... Seller.a of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Mrs. Charles L. Wallace of Cherryville; a brother, Howard Huffstetler of Kings Mountain; four sisters, Mrs. Paul Ledford of Kings Mountain, Mrs. Dewey Barrett, Mrs. Floyd Wright and Mrs. Howard Foster, all of Kings Mountain; three grand children and three great grandchildren. GRACE BLANTON Funeral services for Miss Grace Pearl Blanton, 73, who died Friday in Cleveland Memorial Hospital after several months illness, were conducted Sunday af ternoon at 5 p.m. from Central United Methodist Church of which she was a member. Her pastor. Rev. Robert Boggan, officiated at the rites, assisted by Rev. Tom Patterson and interment was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Miss Blanton was a Kings Mountain native, daughter of the late Dock Guinn and Effie Pearson Blanton. She was a retired textile employe. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Carl Hern don, Miss Bertha Blanton and Mrs. Goldman Spears, all of Kings Mountahi. Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. WILSON C. LEDFORD Funeral services for Wilson C. Ledford, 53, of 60S Gaston St., who died Wednesday while visiting in Atlantic City, N.J., were conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. from Second Baptist Church by Rev. Eugene Land and Rev. Ralph Staton, interment following in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Mr. Ledford was a native of Gaston County and was employed by Cleveland Mills. He was a veteran of World War II. He was the son of Mrs. Ruth Ledford of Kings Mountain and the late Irvin Ledford. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Lewis Ledford; three sons, Wilson Lnlford, Jr., Allen Chad Ledford and David Scott Ledford, all of Kings Mountain; a daughter. Mrs. Linda Moss of Kings Mountain; three brothers. Jack Ledford of Charlotte. Jerry Ledford of Gastonia and Edward Ledford of Charleston, S.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Chaney of Charlotte, Mrs. Betty Henderson of Morganton and Mrs. Inez Worthen of Douglasville, Ga. and one grandchild. Mr. Lowrance was e native of Cleveland County, son of the late William Frank and Frances Short Lowrance and husband of the late Molly Humphries Lowrance.
