The annual meeting was held Saturday morning at Rutherfordton First Methodist Church with members of Rutherfordton Unit sa as hostesses. District President Lib McRorle of Rutherfordton presided over business of the meeting which featured annual reports of unit presidents and election of new officers for the year. Highlight of the meeting was the address by Mrs. James V. Callendo of Stanley, N.C. Department Auxiliary President, and presentation of mem bership awards to units In the asrd dUtrtct. Mrs. Barrett will be Installed, along with presidents frmn the as dUtrlcts In the state, at the state convention to be held June 14-i7 at Sheraton Center In Chariotte. Ten “Go-Oetters" of Unit IBB were honored with ^>eclai membership cards and the Unit also won first Idace for a Poppy Wreath, done by Mrs. Charles Dixon, and a Poppy Poster exhibited by David Barrett. Mrs. Barrett received a gift from the outgoing district president and the unit received a membership certificate for having exceeded Its 1979 membership goal. Kings Mountain Unit will be hostess to next spring’s meeting ot District aS.
