Troop 91 Takes Firsts At Camporee Twenty Troop 91 Boy Scouts from St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church have returned after a weekend Oamporee with 800 Bat tleground District Scouts at Boy Scout Camp In Rutherford County. The local group took two first place and one second place award for overall scouting skills and par ticipate In numerous ac tivities. Police arrested John Allen Whitley, 42, of Gastonia, guard at the Gastonia plsmt, Ray Mims Raines, 29, of Lyons Trailer Park and Robert WUllam Eng, m, 22, of Gold St., on charges of larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny, according to Gastonia Police Sgt. T.H. Harrell. Police are looking for four or five other people believed to be connected with the alleged thefts. Harrell said the arrests were made as two of the men returned to the plant In Gastonia Sunday morning, apparently to remove more mer chandise. Whitley, the plant guard, telephoned the police about 4:30 a.m., to report a robbery, police reports said. Whitley said five men In ski masks surrounded him as he went outside on security rounds, held a gun to his head and said they were going to shoot him, police said. Whitley also said his .38 caliber revolver was taken, and that he was tied up and struggled for one and one-half hours to get tree, according to police reports.
