John Logan, Route 4, Klnga Mountain, N.C., recently completed One Station lAilt Training (OSUT) at Fort Bennlng, Oa. OSUT la a 13-week period which comblnea baalc combat training and ad vanced Individual training. The training Included weapons qualUlcatlma, aquad tactlca, patrolling, landmine warfare, field communications and combat operations. Tills qualifies the soldier as a light weapons Infantryman and as an Indirect fire crewman. Soldiers were taught to perform any of the duties In a rifle or mortar squad. Logan entered the Army In February of this year. He Is a 1V71 graduate of Kings Mountain High School. Receives Poli-Sci Degree Henry Parks Nelsler Jr. of Kings Mountain received the AB Degree In Political Science from Davidson College during graduation exercises Sun., May 37.
