TUCKER Mrs. Susie Ford Tucker, 35, of 200 Benfield Road, died Sunday at Cleveland Memorial Hospital after several months illness. A native of Kings Mountain and former resident of Cary, N.C., she was the daughter of Wade and Maggie Wood Ford of Kings Mountain. Her hus- band was the late Fred J. Tucker. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are one son, Rex Tucker of Kings Mountain; two step- sons, Jeff Tucker of Cary and Tim Tucker of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Ted Ford and Charles Ford, both of Kings ‘Mountain; and four sisters, Mrs. ~ Kenneth (Barbara) Bumgardner . of Kings Mountain, Mrs. Keith (Wanda) Laughter of Kings Mountain, Mrs. David (Brenda) Ivester of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Reggie (Kay) Moss of Kings Mountain. Funeral services were cond- cuted Tuesay at 2 p.m. at Second Baptist Church by the Rev. Eugene Land and Dr. Robert - Winsel. Burial was in New . Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshville. MRS. JOHNSON ~ SHELBY - Mrs. Flora Lominac Johnson, 82, of 717 Congress i Street, died Sunday at Gaston : Memorial Hospital after several ¢ months illness. PRINCE Mrs. Mary Dunn Prince, 83, : of 604 Landing Street, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kings Mountain Convalescent Center after several years illness. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late »Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Funeral services will be con- ducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Central United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ivan Stephens and the Rev. Kelly Dixon. Burial will be in Moun- tain Rest Cemetery. MRS. BLACK CONOVER - Nancy Love Black, 41, of 705 Fourth Avenue, died Sunday morning. A native of Grover, she was ‘the daughter of Ed and Sue Beam Love of Grover. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, For- rest Black of Conover; one son, Jeffrey Black of Conover; two daughters, Amy Black of Con- over and Laura Black of Lyn- chburg, Va.; one brother, Reed Love of Kannapolis; and three Mrs. Roger (Anne) Kimberley of Gaffney, S.C., Mrs. Sonny (Eddie) Dover of Rock Hill, S.C., and Mrs. Kroft (Rita) Hamrick of Charlotte. Funeral services were con- ducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. CHARITY DANCE The Shelby Order of Moose will sponsor a Golden Bull chari- ty dance March 13 at 9 p.m. The dance is for members and guests and will benefit the Moose Heart-Moose Haven fund. IT'S A GIRL Mr. and Mrs. Harold R. Gard- ner of Kings Mountain an- nounce the birth of a daughter, Kneeli Reed, February 6 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. The baby weighed nine pounds and six ounces. ANDREW SIDES GROVER - Andrew Franklin ‘Sides, 68, of Route 1, died Fri- day: at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. A Bessemer City native, he was the son of the late James David and Ocie Lee Dixon Sides. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. : Survivors include his wife, Geneva Cherry Sides; three sons, James David Sides of Dallas, Danny Sides of Boiling ‘Springs and Robert Sides of Shelby; four daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Godwin of Lake City, S.C.,.
