During her year’s appren- ticeship, she assisted in directing funeral services of all types, assisted in funeral arrangements, reported obituaries to the news media and sent in quarterly reports to the State Board of Mortuary Science. Her state board exam included testing on hygiene, public health, psycology, ac- counting and mortuary ad- ministration. Mrs. Caveny and her hus- band, Sam, reside in the Bethlehem Community. They have two sons, Dale and Dennis, and are members of Bethany Baptist Church of Grover. C & C Metal Wins Boys Tournament C&C Metal defeated Kiwanis © 35.27 Wednesday to win the 8-9-10 year old basketball league tournament at the Community Center. The C&C team was coached by Dan Honeycutt and Scott Henson. Can Do Bank defeated the Tigers 26-20 in the consolation game. C&C, which drew an opening round bye, won games over the Optimist, 46-21, and the Tigers to advance to the championship game. Kiwanis made the finals by defeating Rotary and Can Do.
