Earl Vaughn of Colum- bia, S.C. is the speaker, and he presents his sermons in a unique manner, dressing in costume, portraying Bible characters each sermon. During the series he presents Juas, the Prodigal Son, John’s Vision of Heaven, the two natures of man, and on Sun- day morning, the Love of God. Dr. Vaughn began his’ dramatic sermons years ago in order to reach children, and found that all ages responded to them. His vision of Heaven has been presented many times with good results. Goare To Lead Revival At Bethlehem Rev. James C. Goare, pastor of Kings Mountain Baptist Church, will lead revival services April 25-28 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. Goare will fill the pulpit Sunday at 11 am. and will preach Sunday through Wednes- day nights at 7:30 each evening. Rev. Sam Murphy, pastor, in- vites the public to attend. Special singing will be presented during each service and a nursery will be provided. Rev. Goare is a graduate of Auburn University and Southern Baptist Seminary and pastored churches in Union County, Ross Grove, Fallston and Morganton before coming to Kings Mountain in 1975. He has held a number of of- fices in the Kings Mountain Bap- tist ‘Association and has served REV. I.C. GOARE as president of three different ministerial associations, in- cluding Kings Mountian. He has held a number of offices in the Catawba River Association and has served as a member of the’ General Board of the Baptist State Convention. At Central Methodist DR. ROBERT G. TUTTLE Dr. Robert G. Tuttle, Sr., widely known minister of the Western North Carolina Con- ference, will be preaching and teaching Sunday through Tues- day, April 2527, at Central United Methodist Church, Kings Mountain. He will speak Sunday at 11:00 A.M. and 7:15 P.M. He will lead a Bible study Sunday, 7:15 P.M. and Monday and Tuesday he will continue the study of I and II Peter at 12:00 Noon and 7:30 P.M. Wish Their Husbands Knew Husbands Knew About Women: Money, Sex, and Children” is the title of a film designed to assist couples to better unders- tand those things which help build healthy and happy mar- riage relationships. This film will be shown on April 25 at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary of Boyce Memorial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (located beside the Kings Mountain Hospital). This film features Dr. James Dobson, one of America’s leading Christian authorities on the family. Dr. Dobson . has authored books aspects of family life. Guest speaker on April 26, 27 and 28 will be the Rev. Edward McAbee of Gaffney, and the speaker on April 29 and 30 will be the Rev. Kenneth Ridings. There will be special singing by. : ‘the Eastside Baptist choir, Eastside Trio and the Eastside Band, and a nursery will be pro- vided. The Rev. M.P. Hampton, pastor, invites the public to at- tend. The church is located on Highway 29, nine miles south of Kings Mountain and three miles north of Blacksburg. Piedmont Revival Scheduled Revival services will be con- ducted at Piedmont Baptist Church, located at the corner of Benfield Road. and Cherryville Highway, April 25-29. The Rev. James Green, pastor of the church, will open services on April 25 and also close ser- vices on April 29. Visiting evangelists are: Rev. Johnny Crotts of Cherokee Falls, S.C., on April 26; Rev. Marnece Hampton of Blacksburg, S.C., on April 27 and Rev. N.S. Har- din of Kings Mountain on April 28. : Special. singing will be presented each service.
