The group will sing at Westport Baptist Church in Denver Sunday at 11 am, Church of the Savior in Indian Trail Sunday at 3 p.m., Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Charlotte Sunday at 7:30 p.m. and at the Dover Chapel on the Gardner-Webb campus Tuesday at 8 p.m. Songs based on scripture— including the 23rd Psalms and several others-will open the con- cert. Ted Stanley, a Gardner- Webb professor of theory and guitar, will play two segments on the guitar. Phil Perrin, professor of music at G-W, will be the conductor. Assistant conductor will ‘be David Leath of Charlotte, a sacred music major. For more information, call Cobern Pruitt at 484-4050. GED Exam Is Slated The monthly GED examina- tion is scheduled at Cleveland Technical College on Thursday, May 6 from 8:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. This time is required to complete the entire battery of five tests. Time will be allowed after each test for short breaks and lunch. Any North Carolina adult 18 years of age or older is eligible to make application. The examination tests knowledge and understanding of correct writing skills, social studies, science, reading skills and mathematics. Upon suc- cessful completion of the ex- amination, the adult will be issued a high school diploma equivalency certificate by the NC Board of Education. Satisfactory. scores are per- manently on file at the State GED Office. Incomplete or un- satisfactory scores are valid for retesting for a five year period. There is a $5.00 fee for the GED testing service. This fee is . collected by Cleveland Tech’s Business Office at 8:15 A.M.., on Thursday, May 6. The receipt along with proper identification will serve as admittance to the testing session. Applications to be tested or retested should be made by April 30, to a staff member of the Skills Development Center located in the Learning Resources Center at Cleveland Technical College. YARD, BAKE SALE The Ladies Auxiliary of the Kings Mountain Church of God will hold a yard, bake and food sale Sat., Apr. 24 from 8 a.m. un- - til 4 p.m. in the church parking lot. Sausage biscuits will be sold from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., and chicken and dumplings and hot dogs will be sold from 10 a.m. until they are sold out. The church is located at 111 East Parker Strett.
