Edwards Jr. of Kings Mountain, received a B.S. in nursing at recent graduation ex- ercises at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory. ; Mrs. Swofford and 29 other nursing majors were honored in a special ceremony at St. An- drew’s Lutheran Church adja- cent to the L-R campus. They were presented crosses from the Rev. John W. Carter, chaplain of Grace Hospital in Morganton, and heard an ad- dress by Frankie Duncan, an assistant professor in the school of nursing at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Many young men and women who join today’s Army seek adventure just as their ancient counterparts did. When their Active Army enlistment is up, the chal- lenge doesn’t always end. Many former Active Army soldiers choose to put on their Army greens one “Weekend ‘a month and for two weeks oft annual train-- ing as Army Reservists. They still get to serve their country, travel, camp, ride in tanks, fly in helicopters and climb mountains. The Army Reserve helps to add adventure to the lives of those returning to the civil- ian world. “We frame anything!”’ also limited edition & decorator prints Lem Lynch Photography 317 S.
