Mrs. St. John
Funeral services for Mrs.
Evelyn Wease St. John, 67, of
Route 6, who died Sunday in the
Veterans Administration
Medical Center at Asheville,
were conducted Tuesday after-
noon at 4 p.m. from Master’
Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Clyde Green officiated at
the rites and interment was in
Mountain Rest Cemetery.
A World War II veteran, she
was the daughter of the late
Worth Wease and the late Callie
Griggs Wease Stegall.
Surviving are her stepfather,
Arthur Stegall of Monroe; five
sisters, Mrs. Mable Rabb of
Kings Mountain, Mrs. Rachel
Bayne of. Kannapolis, Mrs.
Sarah Laney of Marshville, Miss
Nell Stegall of Charlotte and
Mrs. Carolyn Williams = of
Monroe; and four brothers, Bill
Wease of Kings Mountain, and
Brock, A.C. and Hiram Stegall,
all of Monroe. ;
