Revivals for Jesus Church of Kings Mountain are offering a house and office<cleaning service to raise funds for the church, which recently burned. They will clean houses, of- fices, windows and sit with elder- ly persons. For information, call Vanilla Hinson at 739-1677. = The church burned in June. Cars driven by Sara Brittain of 306 Phifer Road and Lisa Smith collided Friday on the service road at the Kings Mountain Plaza. Damage to Smith’s 1978 Volkswagen was $350. The Little Mounties, 2-3-1, host Lincolnton Thursday at 7:30. Kings Mountain’s touchdown last week came on a four-yard run by Mike Grier. Grier saved the game for the Mounties on the last play of the game when he intercepted a pass at the goal line. Main St. Mt. Holly, N.C. damage to Philbeck’s car and none to Montgomery's. Later Saturday morning, a Ford truck driven by Michael Fitch of Waco Road and a 1979 Buick driven by Roger L. Stohl of 1015 Sherwood collided at the intersection of Battleground Avenue and King Stret. Damage to Fitch’s truck was $50 and to Stohl’s car was $400. Cars driven by Robert L. Ponder of Shelby and Deborah DOWNTOWN KINGS MOUNTAIN L C. Peterson of Kings Mountain collided Monday at the intersec- tion of Ridge and Dilling streets. Damage was $800 to Peterson’s 1982 Chrysler and $250 to Ponder’s 1973 Pontiac. A car driven by Charles Pet- tus of 1503 Northwoods ran off the road early Sunday morning and struck a tree, causing $3,000 damage to the car. Pettus was transported to Kings Mountain Hospital. POLICE REPORT Kings Mountain police reported the following incidents during the past week: Mark Campbell of 110 North Deal Street reported the larceny of a bicycle. Dale Hollifield of 807 Hillside reported the larceny of a bike valued at $180. TG&Y reported the theft of 30 cartons of cigarettes. Dawn Brazzell of 311 Fulton Drive reported that a tire, valued at $65, was cut while her car was parked at McDonald’s. Robert M. Poston Jr. of 102 Northwoods reported that his mail box and paper box were torn down. Damage was $60. Mack’s in the Kings Mountain Plaza reported the theft of eight cartons of cigarettes, valued at $57. : Kings Mountain High School reported that $6 worth of gasoline was stolen from an ac- tivity bus. Officer James Camp charged Roy Dwayne Mathis, 17, of Route 4, Kings Mountain and Eric Dwane Ballew, 17, of 920 Henry Street, with larceny. Woodrow Sluss of 417 Fulton Road reported that “someone broke into his utility building and stole a tool box and tools, valued at $250. Cora Gail Graham of 710 Meadowbrook reported that her car was parked at McDonald’s and some broke a rear window, windshield and broke into the trunk and stole two speakers. Total damage was $1,000. Officer Dorothy Howell made two arrests following an alleged shoplifting at Family Dollar on East King Street. Charged with shoplifting were Berthy Lee Smith, 21, and Cora Malisa Deaver, 16, both of Gastonia.
