py Sd og WA ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ Set At Little Theatre All is not as ti seems in the tiny Oriental Kingdom far, far away. A king wearing no clothes? You may not believe your eyes and ears. But it’s all in the spirit of good fun as the Kings Mountain Little Theatre begins the children’s play, “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. This production by the Kings Mountain Little Theatre will be "held at the Park Grace Theatre on November 18,19, and 20 at’ 8 p.m. A Sunday matinee will be held at 3 p.m. on November 21. “The Emperor’s New Clothes” follows the classic Hans Chris- tian . Andersen tale of two weavers who set out to fool the King, his Chancellor and allithe people of the Kingdom with a “Magic” cloth. And they almost succeed. Almost. Debbie Rushing, who is direc- ting “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, Charlie Brown”. It was one of the most succesful plays in the Kings. Mountain Little Theatre’s: history. “The Emperor’s New Clothes’ is the biggest children’s play we’ve ever done”, said Ms. Rushing. “There’s a cast of 38. She is currently assigned to the Con- sumer Loan Department. She is a graduate of Frank L. Ashley Senior High School and attended Gaston College. Ms. Lynch is a member of Loray Baptist Church. She and her husband Steve have a son, Jason. Registration At Gaston DALLAS, NC...Winter quarter schedules for Communi- ty Servive Courses are now. at Gaston College. Students may register on the Gaston College Campus on Tuesday, November 30, in the lobby area of the Gaston College Myers Center Auditorium. Registration hours are from 8:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Registration will be held on Wednesday, December 1, in the Community Room (3rd level). Eastridge Mall, Gastonia from 10° a.m. until 6 p.m. Late registration will be held on December 3,7,8 .and 9, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in room A-106 of the Beam ' Administration Building. Two additional dates for registration are December 2 and 6 from 8:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Most classes are scheduled to begin classes the week of December 6. PROMOTED Navy Seaman Authur E. Mc- Coy, son of Edward and Willie M. Odoms of Route 5, box 356, Kings Mountain, has been pro- moted to his present rank while serving aboard the tank landing ship USS Saginaw, homeported in Norfolk, Va. the same children from “Charlie Brown” are back”. Those in the cast who are returning to the stage are Paul Terry as Zar, Matthew Brad-. shaw as Zan, Kenny Potter as Ling, Suzanne Lee as Fah, Chucky Dixon as the Gong Boy, Chip Caldwell as the Emperor, Heather Bradshaw as the Em- press, Emily Campbell as the Child, Bill Moskal, Melisa Rikard and Kim Scism as the Royal Weavers, Amy Dixon, Becky Moskal, Christy Dixon, Anne Campbell and Allison Barnett as Citizens. New to the Kings Mountain Little theatre are Linda Smith as Tsein, Rame Eskridge as Mong, ‘Gray Rikard as the General, Cathy Pace as Han, Susan Ware as Han’s Servant, Kendra Cash, Tracey Murphy and Jenny Sum- mey as Royal Weavers, Karen: Smith, Matthew Rikard, and Ginger Teseniar as Citizens, Miranda Brackett as the Babysit- ter and Jamie Ladd, Kevin Ladd, Daniel Marlowe, Crystal Rowe, Sarah Dilling, Angie Ruff, Forest Conner and Kim Ledford as the Children. Anyone in- terested in joining the theatre may attend the meetings of the ‘Kings Mountain Little Theatre, held at the Park Grace theatre on the first Thursday of every month.
