Burns Promoted
Charles Burns has been pro-
moted to Regional Vice Presi-
dent with the A.L. Williams
Company. A.L. Williams is an
independent insurance
marketing firm.
Burns joined the company in
March of ‘81 on a part-time
basis. He won the award as the
top producer in a three-month
period at the 1981 Stone Moun-
tain Convention.
Burns is a 1961 graduate of
Kings Mountain High School,

utilize all resourses and talent
available, the decision has been
made to increase the number of
committee members serving to
increase our effectiveness. We
shall in the near future publish
the names of all members so you
may call a particular one for
counsel if you so desire.
Rev. LK. Fannin, pastor of
Church of the Nazarene, has
assumed the duties as Chairman
of the committee. Rev. Fannin
has served as a committee
member since the formation in
July. We are pleased to have him
serve in this capacity and look
forward to his leadership.
Please be advised to the han-

the spaces at various stores and
locations. Y ou must have a han-

Clinic Set

could be over on January 17.

the hypnosis clinic offered by the
American Lung Association.
The hypnosis clinic to stop
smoking will be held Monday,
January 17 to 7:00 p.m, at
Catawba Valley Technical Col-
ege Auditorium on Highway
64-70 S.E., in Hickory.
Dr. Richard Lovelace of
Winston-Salem will conduct the
clinic. Dr. Lovelace is a
bynotherapist with more than
twenty years of experience.
Everyone who attends the
two-hour clinic at a cost of $35
will receive written materials and
a hypnosis audio-tape that can
be used for continued benefit.
Proceeds will be used to help
support the American Lung
Association’s local programs.

Burns has. been active in
youth sports in Kings Mountain
for a number of years. He coach-
ed the jayvee football team at
KMHS for three years and prior
to that coached several years in
the Pop Warner football pro-
gram.
Burns and his wife, Linda,
have two children, Wesley, age
14, and Mandy, age four. They
reside at 105 Marigold Avenue.
They attend Second Baptist
Church.
