February 24, 1983 Obituaries WILLIAM WEBBER SHELBY - William Avery Webber, 60, of 1674 Friendship Road, died Wednesday at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. A Cleveland County native, he was the son of the late Ander- son and Laura Beam Weber. He was employed as a card tener at Dover Yarn Mill and was a member of Hopewell Lodge Number 12 and Washington Baptist Church in Waco. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Cannedy Webber; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy J. Kilgore and Mrs. Mary Ann : Elmore of Shelby, and Christine . ARNOLD JACKSON SHELBY - Arnold Freno Jackson Sr., 69, of 322 Wood- side Drive, died Wed., Feb. 16 at his home. A Cleveland County native, he was the son of the late John Rufus and Nanny Josephine Weaver Jackson. He was a retired employee of Dover Mill and was a member of Dover Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Jones Jackson; a son, Ar- nold F. Jackson Jr. of Shelby; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Jackson McKibben of Syracuse, N.Y., and Mrs. C.L. FLORA YARBRO Flora Bookout Yarbro, 68, of 703 West Mountain Street, died Monday at Kings Mountain Hospital following several weeks illness. A Cleveland County native, she was the daughter of the late Cleo and Nunie McDaniel Bookout. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors include her hus- band, Jesse H. JAMES CARL BOHELER BLACKSBURG, S.C. - James Carl Boheler, 59, of Route 1 died Sunday at 9:35 a.m. at Camp Haven Nursing Home in Inman. A York County native, he was the son of the late James Kelly and Lillie Hamrick Boheler. He was employed as a carpenter. He was a veteran of World War 11. He is survived by two sons, Danny Hugh Boheler and James Ray Boheler, both of Lattimore; two daughters, Miss Lois Lee Boheler and Miss Molly Marie Boheler, both of Lattimore; two brothers, Dan Boheler and Roy Boheler, both of Grover; and one sister, Mrs. Landrum Allen of Shelby. LEE BUMGARDNER Lee Bumgardner, 71, of Route 4, Kings Mountain, died Friday. He was a retired textile employee and the son of the late John and Candice Hancock Bumgardner. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Kings Mountain. Survivors include his wife, Margie Sipe Bumgardner; three sons, Steven Bumgardner and Franklin: Bumgardner of Gastonia and Robert Bumgard- ner of Kings Mountain; five daughters, Karen Bumgardner and Rita Bumgardner of the home, Faye Decker and Rachel Long of Gastonia and Francis Price of Jacksonville, Fla.; four brothers, Leonard Bumgardner and Alfred Bumgardner of Bessemer City and Sam Bumgardner and Bill Bumgard- ner of Orlando, Fla.; a step- daughter, Linda Bowens of Grover; one sister, Ola Falls of Bessemer City; and 16 grand- children. MRS. SUE BLANTON CHERRYVILLE - Mrs. Sue Hord Blanton of 203 West Se- cond Street died Monday at 10 a.m. at Gaston Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. A Cleveland County native, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Bertha Maude Allen Hord. She was owner and operator of Blanton’s Studio in Cherryville for the past 30 years and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, JE: “Gene” Harmon of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, Wayne Hord of Red Springs and Harold Hord of Raeford; three sisters, Mrs. Doris - Hoyte of Longwood, Fla., Mrs. Pearl Jenkins of Burlington and Mrs. Agatha Cornwell of Port- smouth, Va.; three grand- children and one great- grandchildren.
