The top five teams (boys and girls) from the Southwestern 3-A Conference and the top three teams from the Western Pied- mont 3-A Conference will battle for the right to advance to the Western Regionals next week at . ERAAS SWC tournament at - Gardner- Webb College. The boys fell in the first round to R-S Central and the girls lost in the finals to R-S Central. The Mountaineers will battle .SWC tournament champ and regular season trichamp Crest. Thursday at 8 p. m. The Moun- ties, who finished fifth in the SWC, carry a 14-9 overall record into the contest. This is the third straight trip to the districts for the Mounties. Two years ago, they lost out in SALE SALE ERAA ERAA 31VS 31VS 31VS the second round to Burns after winning the SWC crown, and last year they lost out to Shelby in a triple-overtime champion- ship game after winning the regular season conference title.
