Page 2A-KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD-Thursday. March 31, 1983 OBITUNRIES PAUL JACKSON Beverly Paul Jackson, 82, of 507 South Battleground Avenue, died Sunday at Gaston Memorial Hospital. A York County, S.C., native, he was the son of the late Wallace Thompson and Lela Falls Jackson. He was a retired textile employee and a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Fannie Mitcham Jackson; a son, Bud Jackson of Merritt Island, i Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Bon- PETRY | we CTT IRRNUHRY IT AT WHEREIN RNs CRA ERR THY FIM RT OS TS IT dR HINT nie Warner of Lincolnton, Mrs. Mae Carroll of Grover and Miss Maxine Jackson of Hickory; two brothers, Howard Jackson of Kings Mountain and William Jackson of Lowell; two sisters, Miss Janie Jackson of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Nina Hoyle of Shelby; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services were conducted Tues- day at 3 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Gerald Weeks. Burial was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. MRS. McCOMBS FAITH - Mrs. Iris Peeler Mc- Combs, 72, of Woodland Drive, died Tuesay at 11;27 a.m. in an automobile accident. A native of Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Linda May Belle Holler Peeler. She was a retired employee of Rowan Memorial Hospital and a lifelong member of Shilon United Church of Christ, and a member of the Women’s Guild. She is survived by her hus- band, Allen H. McCombs; five sons, Howard, Bryant, Norris, and John McCombs, all of Faith, and Leslie McCombs of Salisbury; three daughters, Mrs. May Belle Stone of Kings Moun- tain, Mrs. Diane Wright of New Bern and Mrs. Janis Hatley of Charlotte; her stepmother, Mrs. Jennie Peeler of Newton; four sisters, Mrs. Ray McCombs, Mrs. Gideo Misenheimer, Mrs. Cohen Ludwick and Mrs. Anna Nickle, all of Faith; one half- brother, Bob Peeler of Monroe; . {. one half-sister, Mrs. Rose Koon of Faith; two. Step-sisters, Mrs. Charlene Schraum of Baltimore - and Mrs. Hazel Fink of Kan- " napolis; 23 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Shilon United Church of Christ by the Rev. Charles W. Sigler. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A Georgia native, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Fannie Finely Bullard and was married to the late Charles D. Flournoy. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Charlotte, where she was active in the Spiritual Choir and Mis- sionary Circle. A Cleveland County native, he was the son of the late Rev. Clarence C. and Leila Borders Corry and was married to the late Arsonia DeGraffenried Cor- ry. He is survived by two sons, Herbert L. and Roger W. Corry Jr. of Baltimore; four daughters, Mrs. Arninious C. Buie, Sandra M. Hannah O. and Coretha S. Corry of Baltimore; one brohter, the Rev. Dr. John G. Corry of Nashville, Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. Ellease C. Howell of Cher- ryville, Mrs. Albertine C. Hickman of Mrs. Janol C. Ramseur of Henderson; “three daughters, Mrs. Naomi Johnson of Kings Mountain, Mrs. Catherine Polite of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Hazel Watts of the home; a brother, Dewey Mauney of Bessemer Ci- ty; a sister, Mrs. Annie Norton of Davidson; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
