Memorial Hospital.
She was the widow of the late
Richard P. Frady and the
mother of Dwight Frady, editor
of the Belmont Banner and Mt.
Holly News, two sister
newspapers of the Kings Moun-
tain Herald,
She is survived by three
daughters, Sarah Green of
‘Forest City, and Blanche Bone
and Mildred Richardson, both of
Belmont; four sons, Clifford
Frady of Gastonia, Robert L.
Frady of Belmont, and Dwight
Frady and Johnnie Frady, both
of the home; two sisters, Sarah
Breedlove of Bryson City and
Ethel Conner of Kings Moun-
six half-sisters,
Breedlove of Bryson City, Ruth
Baity of Kings Mountain, Ester
Taylor and Lovada Jer-
manovich, both of ‘California,
Hazel Dowdle of St. Petersburg,
Fla., and Ellen Strickland of
Asheville; a half-brother, Zeb
Cabe of Horseshoe; 17 grand-
children and 50 great-
-grandchildren,
Services were conducted Tues-
‘day at 3 p.m. at East Belmont
Baptist Church by the Rev.
‘Barry Chamber and the Rev. W.
Elvin Jones. Burial was in
Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to
the East Belmont Baptist
Church.
MANUEL L. ASHE
Manuel Lee Ashe, 85, of 1109
Harper Road, died Sunday at
Kings Mountain Hospital.
A native of Jackson County,
he was the son of the late
William Lou Exstine Ashe. He
was a retired employee of the
Dayton Rubber Company and a
member of Balsham Baptist
Church.
He is survived by his wife,
Jane Ammons Ashe; three
daughters, Lois Gentery of
Gastonia, Lodia Panter of Knox-
ville, Tenn., and Hazel Locust of
Balsham; three sons, leo, Janes
and the Rev. William Ashe, all
of Gastonia; a brother, Eula

Services were conducted
Wednesday at 11 a.m. at
Carothers Funeral Home by the
Rev. Ralph Propst and the Rev.
George Locklear. Burial was in
Westview Garden.

GARNER - Anna Marie
Emory, infant daughter of Steve
and Donna Geaimo Emory, died
Tues., Apr. 26, at Wake County
Hospital.
Surviving, ‘in addition to her
parents, are ‘a half-sister,
Vanessa Threatt of the home;
her maternal grandmother,
Mary Gregg of Anaheim, Calif;
and her paternal grandmother,
Lucille Long Emory of Kings
Mountain.
Graveside services were con-
ducted Saturday at 10 a.m. at
Long Creek Baptist Church
cemetery in Dallas by the Rev.

SHELBY - Ethel Tate Allen,
77, of 511 Whisnant Street, died
Tues., April 26, at Cleveland
Memorial Hospital.
A Cleveland County native,
she was the wife of the late Fay
B. Allen and the daughter of the
late Thoams Coy and Edith
Campbell Tate.
She is survived by four sons,
Hugh L. Allen of Greensboro,
Gerald “Pearly” Allen and
Michael Allen of Shelby and Ben
Allen of Henderson; three
daughters, Mrs. Eugene Tiddy of
Gastonia, Mrs. William Mc-
Curry of Savannah, Ga., and

Bloodmobile
Gets 181 Pints
The Cleveland County Red
Cross Bloodmobile collected 181
productive pints of blood during
Monday’s visit to Kings Moun-
tain High School.
The visit, sponsored by the
Future
America, had a goal of 200.
Two hundred and five persons
presented ‘blood. Twenty-four
were deferred. Forty-five were
first-time donors.
