TIMOTHY MARK ALLEN (Deng Chree Bowen) Allens Exchange Vows In Rainbow Wedding Dena Chree Bowen and Tim- my Mark Allen exchanged their marriage vows in a rainbow wed- ding ceremony Saturday at Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Grover. Rev. Dean Proctor officiated. Bradine Tyner, organist, and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Putnam, vocalists, presented a program of wedding music. The bride’s attendants wore colors of indigo blue, red, lavender, peach, pink, green and yellow and pastel blue. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bowen of Route 1, Grover. She is a 1983 graduate of Kings Mountain High School. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Allen of Route 1, Grover. He is a 1979 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and is self-employed. The bride was given in mar- riage by her father. Jada Hardin was Matron of Honor. Lori Dix- on of Kings Mountain was Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Burns, Toni Goforth and Tina Brown, all of Grover, and Myra Yar- borough and Chrystal Rowe, both of Kings Mountain. Jena Allen of Grover was flower girl and Shane Allen of Charlotte was ring bearer. Bill Allen was his son’s best man. Ushers were Chad Bowen and Greg Bowen, brothers of the bride, Ricky Allen, brother of the groom, and David Allen, Scott Ellis and Scott Hardin. Rhonda Wheeler attended the guest register. The bride’s parents hosted a reception following the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Allen entertained the wedding party with an after-rehearsal banquet in the church fellowship hall Friday night. Following a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, 8.C., the couple will reside on Route 1, Grover. Parties And Showers Honor Bridal Couple A number of pre-wedding bridal showers and parties honored Suzanne McDaniel and Mike Terres, who were married Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church. An engagement party was given by Ms. Jackie Helms and Mike Price, both of Shelby, on June 12 at the Helms home. -The wine and cheese party, lasting from 4-6 p.m., included close friends of the bridal couple. They chose this time to present their gift to the bride-elect. Vegetable sandwiches, cake squares and punch were served to the approximately 30 guests who called between the hours of 7:30 and 9 p.m. A dinner party was given by Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hullender, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Morris and Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Dixon at the Morris home on July 2. Appetizers and punch were served to the guests upon arrival. Guests were later seated at tables on the terrace of the home to en- joy a buffet dinner. The hosts presented the honored couple with their gift. Special guests were parents and grandparents of the couple. A picnic honoring Mike and Suzie was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Blalock, aunt and uncle of the groom, in Dallas on June 10. Twenty-five guests enjoyed a covered dish supper and presented gifts to the couple. A miscellaneous drop-in shower was given July 15 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church chapel. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William B. McDaniel of Route 4, Kings Mountain. She is a 1975 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a 1979 cum laude graduate of Gardner- Webb Coliege. She is employed by Kings Mountain District Schools. She is the grand- daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Morris of Kings Mountain and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.D. McDaniel. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob L. Terres Jr. of Shelby. He is a 1969 graduate of Shelby High School and is employed as a sales represen- tative for Dixie Industrial Supply Inc. of Shelby. He is the grand- son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Grif- fie of Gastonia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Terres. The bride was given in mar- riage by her father. Her dress was made of white silk organza’ and embroidered lace. The tee strap dress had a fitted bodice with a natural waist with a satin ribbon sash and a long full skirt with a scalloped hemline. The removable lace jacket had long full sleeves with high neck but- tons down the back. The dress was a design by Sasson of Paris. Mrs. Christian Reinhardt of Boone was Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. David McDaniel of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Jim Ledford of Lake Norman. The groom’s father was best man. Ushers were Joe Champion of Kings Mountain and Robert Miller of Blacksburg, S.C. ; The bride’s parents hosted an outdoor reception at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Following a wedding trip to Jekyll Island, Ga., the couple will live at 1764 McBrayer Spr- ings Road, Shelby. TERRI RENEE LOVELACE (Bride-elect of Herbie Lee Beam) ENGAGED - Mr. and Mrs. Gerald D.
