Church group singing will be held on Wednesday night at the lobby of the new city hall. A bon-fire will follow and a possi- ble hotdog roast is being discuss- ed. The Kings Mountain Fire Department will sell hotdogs all day Thursdady. A street dance featuring “South’s Finest Band” will be held on Thursday night from 8-12 p.m. on one of the the main streets. Boy Scouts will camp in the lot across from the fire depart- ment on Eriday. Also on Eriday, the fire department will sponsor a barbecue sale. Damages were $250 to Bell’s car and $600 to Donnan’s. Cars driven by Janice McAbee and Ellis Norris, both of Shelby, collided Friday at 5:19 p.m. on West King Street. Kings Mountain police reported numerous incidents of breakings and enterings and larcenies, including three involv- ing the larceny of lawn equip- ment andr tools. Temple Baptist Church, 612 North Cansler Street, reported that someone broke into its storage building and stole a weedeater, lawnmower, edger and assort- ment of tools valued at $900. William Glenn Spearman of Bloodmobile Schedule Announced Kings Mountains first blood- mobile visit for the 1983-84 fiscal year will be Thurs., Sept. 15 from 12:30-6 p.m. at First Baptist Church. It’s tagged the Kings Moun- tain industrial and community visit. The goal is 225 pints. Other visits for this year are Wed., Nov. 16 at-Kings Moun- tain High School, Thurs., Mar. 8, Thur., May 8 at KMHS and Thur., June 28. Seventy donors from Kings Mountain earned VIP status last year.
