General Statutes state that you can not vote on any issue in which you are directly or in-
directly involved. The two times | refused to vote were on re-zoning matters in which | was
indirectly involved, and so | refused to vote on the final presentation of these items.
| feel that the eight years of experiences that | have as your District | Commissioner,
will help guide the future of this city in order to make it a better place to live and raise our
children and grandchildren.
If re-elected by you the voters, | can pledge to you that | will try and fulfill my respon-
sibilities as your District | Commissioner during the next four years, as | have tried to do
during the past eight years.
As election day is only a few days away, | find that it will be impossible for me to see
and talk with every voter of this city. | have chosen this newspaper ad to ask you the
voters for your vote and support in the October 11th election.
In announcing for re-election as the District | Commissioner, | pointed out some of the
projects and improvements that have been accomplished during the eight years that | have
served as the District | Commissioner. | pointed out some of the projects and directions
that | feel will be needed for the future growth and well being of the city. | also pointed out
some of the things | did not feel were good for the majority of the citizens, and so | had no
choice, but to vote against those items.
My voting and attendance record is a matter of public record, and can be examined by
anyone at any time. If there is a question, by you, the voter, as to where | stood on any
issue, | encourage you to check the record.
