Medicine is more than you think i
What are medicines? They are not just what the She
doctor prescribes and your pharmacist dispenses. [mlm
They include the vitamins you buy, the calcium, Bi
the aspirin, the laxatives, and many other prod- sjmsji
ucts you can buy without a prescription.
Medicines are also the liquid diets, the coffee and tea,

REVEREND FRANK PITTMAN
Pittman To Head New Baptist
Mission In Kings Mountain
Reverend Frank Pittman will
head the Emanuel Independent
Baptist Mission located at 900
Battleground Road.
The Mission hopes to establish
a church in Kings Mountain
once they get enough member-
ship. The Emanuel Independent
Mission is an independent sup-
port group who does not belong
to any Baptist Associations.
Reverend Pittman stated that
they stand on the basic Baptist
Doctrine but are independent in
the sense that they can give
directly to causes they believe in
as opposed to giving their money
to organizations and not know
where their money goes.
Presently - Mission Members
meet at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday and
at 7 p.m. on Thursday to avoid
conflict with local church ser-
vices. Once they are established
as a church they hope to set up
regular church hours.
All interested persons are in-
vited to attend.
Singspiration Service Set
David Baptist Church will be
having their regular Quarterly
Singspiration Services,
November 20th, at 7:30
P.M. The David Church Choir
will present a Thanksgiving
Mini-Musical, “Bring In The
Harvest”, by Gary Lanier.
This is a musical designed to
be part of the Thanksgiving ser-
vice. The emphasis is:
First; Thankful to be in a land
that yields a good harvest. A
land which God has provided
but must be worked by man.
Second; Concern about the
spiritual harvest. A harvest that
.1s made up of people who do not
know God in a personal way. As
God’s children, we are the
laborers and are responsible for
cultivating this large harvest in
order that the reaping may be in
abundance. “The harvest is plen-
tiful but the laborers are few.”
