“ Rehearsing For Senior Play Senior Class Play Opens On Thursday “Up the Down Staircase”, by Bel Kaufman an humorous and entertaining play, will be presented by the Senior Class of Kings Mountain Senior High School on November 17 at 7:30 p.m. on November 19 at 7:30 p.m. and on November 20 at 2:30 p.m. The play is under the direction of Mrs. Betsy Wells, drama and English teacher at Kings Moun- tain Senior High. The students have been work- ing very hard in rehearsing the play. The play evolves around Sylvia Barrett, played by Joy McCoy, a pretty, young, new school teacher. The play can be very dramatic as young Alice Blake, played by Carla Adams, falls in love with her school teacher. Paul Barringer, played by Steven Fain. The play is also very humorous at times in the scenes with the school students. To add to the entertainment there will be several dance numbers and songs. The remaining cast, includes: Dr. Maxwell Clarke, played by Kevin Echols; Beatrice Scharhler by Lisa Nation; J.J.
