cmp a Sa The Kings Mountain Junior High School Chapter of the Na- tional Junior Beta Club was organized in November with 90 charter members. The Junior Beta Club is a leadership service club which seeks to encourage effort, reward merit and promote those qualities of character that make for good citizens. + Lee, treasurer. Members are Laura Allen, Tina Anderson, Audra Barber, Roxanne Batchler, Brent Christian Women’s Club To Meet December 15 The Shelby Christian Women’s Club is celebrating “The Season to be Colorful” at their luncheon on Thursday, December 15, from 12 noon un- til 2 p.m. at the Elk’s Club. The special feature will be Susan Wease, owner of The Boudoir, who will give a demonstration on personal color analysis, which helps women choose complimen- tary colors for their wardrobe. Adding a Harmony of Hues will be Angela Davis, soprano. Mrs. Lee Cavanaugh, a homemaker from Aiken, South Carolina, and a mother of young children, will give an inspira- tional talk. All interested women are cordially invited to attend, and there is a special invitation extended to young mothers. I'here will be a free nursery for pre-schoolers of mothers at- tending the luncheon. The nursery is held at the Central United Methodist Church. Children are to bring a sack lunch, and cookies and juice will be provided. Reservations must be made. All reservations for the lun- cheon and the nursery may be made with Virginia Bylund, 487-0857 or Bonnie Price, 434-6443 by noon Monday. Cancellations should be made no later than noon Wednesday. Prior to the luncheon there will be a craft and baked goods sale for the benefit of the club project. Ladies are reminded to bring a gift item, decoration, or baked goods for the sale and to come early to browse and buy.
