C. 28092. : Junior High Girls Lose 11-3 Wednesday Kings Mountain Junior High’s girls softball team drop- ped its first game of the year last Wednesday to undefeated West McDowell, 11-3. Kings Mountain committed seven errors and West McDowell batters also took ad- vantage of six bases on balls. Paula Owensby hurled the win for West and Buffy Hut- chins took the loss. Regina Brown was 2-for4, in- cluding a double, and Lynn Donaldson was 2-for-3, in- cluding two doubles, for the Lady Patriots. Judy Mooney was 3-for4 for West. Kings Mountain, now 2-1, hosts East McDowell on May 2. All profits from the tourney will go to the Boys Club. Entry fee is $30 and includes green fees and a free practice round the week prior to the tour- nament. Entry deadline is Wednesday, May 2. Kings Mountain won all six singles matches and three of the four double matches. Singles winners were Bryan Tignor, Hullender Post Ethel Tignor’s team swept four games from Betty Hullender in Amazing Grace Bowling League action Friday night at the Dilling Heating Lanes. Mrs. Tignor led her bowlers with a 102 line and 289 set.
