New Camp Creek Baptist
Church of Shelby provided the
setting Saturday at 1 p.m. for the
wedding of Miss Lisa Michelle
McNeely and Warren Worth
Rabb.
The couple pledged vows of
the double-ring ceremony before
Dr. Charles Moss.
Bill Daves was organist for the
program of nuptial music and
Patricia Haskins was vocalist.
Thomas McNeely escorted his
granddaughter to the altar and
gave her in marriage. The
bride’s wedding gown was a
white Victorian design of organ-
za featuring a high Chantilly lace
collar, sheer yoke, bishop sleeves
and a natural waistline. An
organza flounce edged with
Chantilly lace finished the full
skirt .and trimmed the chapel
train. Seed pearls enhanced the
beauty of the gown. The waltz
length veil was trimmed with
pearls and attached to a lace
covered camelot headpiece. Silk
Venise lace motifs enhanced the
gown. She carried a bouquet of
roses.
Miss Lisa Sipes attended the
bride as maid of honor and
bridesmaids were Renee Ward
and Teresa Champion, both of
Grover, and Charlotte Smith of
Kings Mountain. Tammy
Beaver of Kings Mountain was
junior bridesmaid. Kimberly
Fowler was flower girl.
The maid of honor wore an or-
chid Qiana gown with a crystal
pleated skirt. The matching
removable jacket was trimmed
in dyed to match Chantilly lace.
The bridesmaids wore orchid
organza gowns with a flounced
drop shoulder. The bouffant
skirts featured a double ruffle
with a side pick up accented with
a bow. All the attendants car-
ried bouquets of roses.
Alton Rabb was the
bridegroom’s best man.
Groomsmen were Rodney
Bridges, Kevin Galloway, Allen
Welch, all of Kings Mountain,
and Timothy McNeely of Kan-
sas City, Kansas. Todd Haskins
carried the rings.
The bride’s mother enter-
tained after the ceremony at a
beautifully appointed wedding
reception in ‘the church
fellowship hall, which carried
out the orchid theme of the wed-
ding. The wedding cake was
decorative highlight for the
bride’s table from which
refreshments were served.
After a trip to Orlando,
Florida, the newlyweds will be at
home in Houston, Texas. For
traveling, Mrs. Rabb chose a
three piece beige suit and lifted
the corsage from her bridal bou-
quet.

Tesseneer, Sr. of 405 N. Cansler announce the engagement of their
daughter, Sandra Lane, to Robert (Robbie) Franklin Bolin, son of Ms.
Jean Bolin and the late Coy F. Bolin. Both families are of Kings Moun-
tain. The bride-elect is a 1981 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior
High School, and is currently attending Cleveland Technical College.
She is employed by Herald Publishing Co. Mr. Bolin is a 1980
graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School, and is a Specialist
Four in 82nd Air Borne Division at Fort Bragg. The Military Wedding
will take place June 9th at Penleys Chapel Church.

Grahls Married Sunday
Kings Mountain Baptist

Easter Sunday at 2 p.m. for the
wedding of Miss Susan Kimberly
Bennett and Gerald Scott Grahl.
The couple pledged vows of
the double-ring service in an im-
pressive Unity Candle ceremony
before the Rev. J. C. Goare,
minister of the church.
The altar was banked with
candles and arranged with
greenery and white flowers. The
Unity Candle centered the set-
ting.
Mrs.J. C. Goare was organist
for the program of traditional
music.
Jack K.Bennett escorted his
daughter to the altar and gave
her in marriage. The bride’s wed-
ding gown was a formal design
of white organza and Chantilly
lace. The fitted bodice featured a
Queen Anne neckline and long
Bishop sleeves. Her fingertip veil
was of white silk illusion edged
with Chantilly lace and attached
to a Juliet cap. She carried a
bridal bouquet of mixed flowers.
Miss Lisa Bridges of Kings
Mountain attended her cousin as
maid of honor and bridesmaids
were the bride’s sister-indaw,
Roxanne Seawright, of Kings
Mountain, and Sharon Chap-
man of Grover. Misty Lee Grahl
of Kings Mountain was flower
girl. :
All the attendants wore long
plum formals with offshoulder
necklines and carried bouquets
of plum, pink and white flowers.
The bride’s mother chose a
street-length dress of rose and a
corsage of white roses.

tain was the bridegroom’s best

tain.
The guest register was attend-
ed by Karen Bennett of Kings
Mountain.
The bride’s parents entertain-
ed after the ceremony at a
beautifully-appointed reception
in the church fellowship hall
which carried out the bridal col-
ors of plum, pink and white. The
pedestal pink and white wedding
cake was topped with fresh
flowers and centered the bride’s
table. Refreshment tables were
overlaid with pink cloths over
white and held crystal appoint-
ments. Centering the main table
were two tall hurricane globes
holding pink candles and arrang-
ed with pink and white flowers.
Mrs.H.P.Hayes cut and serv-
ed the cake and Mrs. Bill Ben-
nett poured punch.
After their wedding trip the
newlyweds will be at home in
Kings Mountain.

of Kings Mountain are parents
of the bride who is a 1980
graduate of Kings Mountain
High School and attended
Cleveland Tech. She is employed
by M.B.F. Industries of
Gastonia.She is the grand-
daughter of Mr.and Mrs. C.E.
Stafford and the late Mr. and
Mrs. Guss Bennett.
The bridegroom is the son of
James B. Grahl of Santa
Monica, California and the late
Geraldine Robinson. He is
grandson of Mrs. Viola Ham-
mett and the late J. D. Hammett.
He is a 1973 graduate of Kings
Mountain High School and is
employed by Cookson Company
of Gastonia.
Pattans Married April 14
A candlelight ceremony at
seven o'clock Saturday evening,
April 14, united in marriage Miss
Tamara Dawn Morehead and
Kevin Arthur Pattan, both of
Rockingham. The Rev. Lester
English officiated at the double-
ring ceremony at the Pee Dee
Baptist Church in Rockingham.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jesse W.
Morehead of Rockingham,
formerly of Kings Mountain. A
1981 graduate of Richmond
Senior High School, she is
employed at ADS, Inc.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. William M. Pattan, Jr.
of Rockingham. He graduated
from Richmond Senior High
School in 1982 and is also
employed by ADS, Inc.
The sanctuary was decorated
with two large baskets of mums,
lavender lockspur, white glads,
baby’s breath and greenery.
Two palms flanked the brass
candelabra holding lighted
tapers.
Miss Pam Lee of Rockingham
was pianist and Freida Allen of
Rockingham, soloist. Selections
included “Bridal March,” “If,”
“The Lord’s Prayer,” “You and
I,” and “Endless Love.”
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a tradi-
tional gown of white organza
and lace. The fitted bodice of
silk venise featured a high
neckline of schiffli reembroidery
and long, tapered sleeves of chif-
fonet. Ruffles edged the hemline
of the skirt creating an apron ef-
fect in back with attached chapel
train. Her victorian hat of
venise and chantilly lace was ac-
cented with a short veil and satin
ribbons. She carried an oval-
shaped bouquet of lavender
daisies and white rosebuds with
lavender satin streamers.
Miss Patsy Lewis of Hamlet
was maid of honor. Her gown of
purple matte taffeta featured a
fitted bodice with an off-the-
shoulder effect and puffed
sleeves. She pinned a spray of
baby’s breath in her hair and car-
ried a bouquet of lavendar
daisies, baby’s breath and ribbon
streamers.

N.C. were bridesmaids. Their
violet colored gowns and flowers
were similar to the honor atten-
dant’s.
The bride’s cousin, Amanda
Wheeler of Kings Mountain,
was flower girl. Her short white
dress was designed of organza
with a lace bodice and ruffled
skirt. She pinned baby’s breath
in her hair and carried a white
basket filled with satin petals.
Mr. Pattan was his son’s best
man.
Ushers included the groom’s
brother, Timmy Pattan; the
bride’s brother, Kevin
Morehead; and Rob Keolch, all
of Rockingham.
Mrs. Morehead selected for
her daughter’s wedding a floor
length gown of grape lustreglo
with draped bodice, long sleeves
and sunburst pleated skirt. She
was remembered with an orchid
corsage to match her dress.
Mrs. Pattan, mother of the
groom, was attired in a floor
length gown of misty mauve
polyester knit with lace york and
long lace sleeves. She, too, was
presented an orchid corsage to
match her dress.
Seated in places of honor and
remembered with flowers were
the bride’s grandmothers, Mrs.
Julia E. Yarbrough of Kings
Mountain and Mrs. Ethel
Morehead of Rockingham; the
groom’s grandparents, Mrs.
Janie Parris of Rockingham ahd
Mr. and Mrs. William M. Pat-
tan, Sr. of Hale, Michigan.
The bride is also the grand-
daughter of Tommy B. Yar-
brough, of Ocracoke, N.C.
The bride’s parents were hosts
for a reception honoring the cou-
ple in the church fellowship hall.
Highlighting the decorations
was the fourier candlelight
cake accented with a cascade of
purple and lavender flowers and
lighted tapers. A miniature bride
and groom under an archway
centered the top tier.
The buffet table was covered
with a lavender cloth overlaid
with white lace and centered
with a large bouquet of spring
flowers.
The groom’s sister, Mrs. Tess
Rankin of Charleston, S.C.
presided at the guest register.
After the first slice of cake had
been cut by the bridal couple,
the cake was cut and served by
Mrs. Rachel Parris and Mrs.
Jane Parris, both aunts of the
groom of Rockingham. Punch
was poured by the bride’s aunt,
Mrs. Debbie Yarbrough of
Kings Mountain.
Later in the evening, the
newlyweds left for a trip to an
undisclosed destination. Upon
their return, they will be at home
on County Home Road in Rock-
ingham.
PRE-NUPTIAL PARTIES
The groom’s parents were
hosts for a rehearsal party Fri-
day evening, April 13, at their
home in Rockingham.
A bridesmaids brunch was
held March 25 at the Western
Sirloin Steak House with Mrs.
Irene Lewis and Miss Patsy
Lewis as hostesses for the occa-
sion. The bride chose this occa-
sion to honor her attendants
with gifts.
Mrs. Rachel Parris and Mrs.
Kitty Johnson of Rockingham,
aunts of the groom, honored the
bride-¢lect with a shower March
25.
The bride-elect was honored
with a shower March 18 when
her aunts, Mrs. Debbie Yar-
brough, Mrs. Barbara Yar-
brough, and Mrs. Beth Wheeler
entertained in Kings Mountain.
