Wat- son, 525 Baker St. PAM MORROW Pam Morrow Earns Scholarship Miss Pamela Morrow was the recipient of the Helen Logan Memorial Scholarship at Awards Day May 31, at Kings Mountain High School. Named for a former high school teacher who was a member of the local Alpha Delta Chapter, this scholarship is given annually by the Kings Mountain Chapter to a young lady in the graduating class who plans to enter the educational field. Alpha Delta Kappa is an In- ternational Honorary Sorority for Women Educators with twenty-six members in the local Beta Chi Chapter. Pamela is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Morrow of Route 2, Kings Mountain. She has been outstanding in academic and extra-curricular activities including membership in the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Who’s Who Among American High School Students (3.5 grade average or higher), Pep Club, Future Teachers, Vica, French Club, Jr.-Sr. Steer- ing Committee, Advisor for Cosmetology and Homecoming Queen nominee. She was one of the five students from KMHS to attend the Math Contest at UNC Charlotte, and she ranks eighth academically in the senior class. She will attend UNC Charlotte and plans to major in Elementary Education or Math.
