the Medium Gold Cup, highest
award, and Cheryl Perkins
received the Small Gold Cup, se-
cond highest award, during an
awards ceremony following the
piano recital by students of Mrs.
Marshall Gore.
Receiving the Silver Note
Award were Keith Duncan,
practice award; Angela Parks,
progress award; Allyson
Bumgardner, most improved;
and Amy Bumgardner, junior
composer. :
The third highest award, the
national honor awards, went to

marked with the guest’s names
‘on wedding place cards. A
delicious dinner was served.
Special guests were the bride-
elect’s parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Goforth; Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Tindall, Sr., parents of
the bridegroom-elect; and his
grandmother, Mrs. D.W. Barker.
The host couple presented
Miss Goforth a shoulder corsage
which was pinned to her peach
and white party dress.

honored Saturday at a
bridesmaids luncheon at the
home of Cindy Tindall.
Hostesses for the occasion
were Mrs. Chris Tindall, Mrs.
" Tommy Bridges and Mrs. Paul
Bolt.
A three course meal was
served from tables decorated
with spring flowers.
Miss Goforth’s place was
marked with an inflated heart
balloon with the couple’s name
on it.
The bride-elect chose this time
to present gifts to her attendants
and friends who would be serv-
ing at the reception.
Special guests were Mrs.
Ralph Goforth, mother of the
bride-elect; Mrs. Thomas D. Tin-
dall, mother of the bridegroom-
to-be; Mrs. D.W. Barker, grand-
mother of the bridegroom-to-be;
and the bride-elect’s aunts, Mrs.
Hayes Ledford, Mrs. Charles
Mullinax and Mrs. Wayne Appl-

Mrs. Tindall pinned a corsage
on the brideto-be’s duty rose
dress.

National Honor Certificates
are awarded to those students
who earned a superior rating in
the Junior Music Festival. These
certificates are sent to the
students from the National
Federation of Music Clubs in In-
dianapolis, Indiana.
Small Gold Cup is awarded to
students who earn 15 points in
the Junior Musical Festival and
requires three to four years of
participation.
Medium Gold Cups are
awarded to students who have
earned 30 points in the Junior
