HONORED FOR SERVICE—Mrs. Gordon (Jerry) Myers is pictured with members of her family at a reception hosted by Trinity Episcopal Church. Mr. Myers is at far right. Mrs. Myers Honored Mrs. Gordon Myers (Jerry) was recently honored at a recep- tion given by Trinity Episcopal Church for her 19 years of ser- vice as a teacher at Trinity Day School. Steve Wells, Headmaster of Trinity Day School, and Mrs. Wells hosted the event at their home in the Dixon Community and 25 guests called between 2 and 4 p.m. The guests were greeted by Mrs. Wells and invited to sign a guest book. They were then presented to the guest of honor and members of her family. Several guests presented Mrs. Myers an assortment of gifts in celebration of her retirement. A color motif of light green, white and pink featured decorative details and refreshments. The table was overlaid with a white linen cloth and arranged with silver and crystal trays holding an assort- ment of horsdouvres.and.party pickups. At the center of the table was a pink, red, and green cake enscribed, “Happy Retire- ment, Jerry”. The cake was bak- ed and decorated by Mrs. Myers’ £ % former team teacher, Mrs. Willie Davis. The menu included sausage balls, cheese tidbits, fruit, nuts, mints and finger sandwiches. Mrs. Connie Marlowe served red punch. Upon her arrival Mrs. Myers was presented a corsage of white peace roses which were given by Mrs. Wells and which matched her pink and white ensemble. Mrs. Myers, a native of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, has lived in many areas of the United States since her husband was affiliated with Transco Gas Company. She came to Trinity Day School in 1965 and became the Head Teacher in 1974, a post which she held until her husband, Gor- don, retired. She and her hus- band Gordon, reside on Scotland Drive.
