The Charlotte Choral Society
will present its 30th annual Sing-
ing Christmas Tree in four per-
formances Dec. 7, 8 and 9 at
Ovens Auditorium. For this an-
niversary spectacular, the 100
voice choir will sing a program
of the best of Christmas’ past.
The magnificent 22 story
TREE will again serve as a
centerpiece to a glittering star-
studded program. Special guest
artists include singer Marlene
VerPlanck, composer-pianist
Loonis McGlohon and his trio.
Mr. McGlohon has written an
original piece for the occasion
entitled “Christmas Is Just
About Here”, which will be in-
cluded in the program. Also
featured will be the fantasy of
the Grey Seal Puppets and visual
interpretation of the Grose
School of Dance.
