Mrs. Champion was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of Warren Reynolds of Kings Mountain and Ela Joy Pearson of Kings Mountain. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Donald Champion; two sons, Mark Champion and Jody Champion of the home; a brother, Paul Reynolds of Kings Mountain; . four sisters, Kelly Patton of Gaffney, S.C., Peggy Levergood of Charlotte, Regina Dixon and Shelly Pearson, both of Kings Mountain. Funeral services for Blake Robbins, Sr., 62, of Route 5, who died Thursday in Charlotte Memorial Hospital, were con- ducted Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. from Shiloh AME Zion Church by the Rev. E.M. Browning, Rev. J.C. White, Rev. Buddy Jones and Rev. Enslow McClain, interment following in the church cemetery. Mr. Robbins was a native of Chester County, S.C., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Brown Rob- bins. He was a member of Shiloh AME Zion Church where he served as a class leader and trustee. Surviving are his wife, Wilmer Moore Robbins; two sons, Blake Robbins, Jr. and Sammy Rob- bins of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Willie Mae Robbins of the home; a brother, Frank Rob- bins of Charlotte; two sisters, Ailine Hatton. of Gastonia and Mary Wilson of Rock Hill, S.C. and five grandchildren. Herbert Bailey and Rev. H.T. Smith, interment following in Smyrna ARP Church Cemetery. Miss Moeller died Friday at Oakmont Nursing Center in Greenville, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Simon and Lena Meise Moeller and a retired registered nurse. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church of Kings Mountain. Surviving are three brothers, Paul Moeller of Gaffney, Cons- tant Moeller of Greenville and Rev. Victor Moeller of two sisters, Mrs. Louise Kendall of Washington and Miss Shophie Moeller of Virginia. Washington St., Shelby, sister of ‘Lallage Holtschulte of Kings Mountain, were con- ducted Tuesday afternoon from Webb Chapel of First Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Watterson and Dr. Joe Reeves, interment following in Shelby’s Sunset Cemetery. 3 Mrs. Grice died Saturday at home. Break-Ins Reported A rash of break-ins and larceny reports kept police busy during the weekend. Marty Blanton, Secretary to KMPD Chief Jackie Barrett, said thieves took six weapons during a break-in at Western Auto Store and hit several utility buildings: where large assort- ments of tools, chain saws and heaters were taken. Albion Meservey, of 210 E. Parker St., reported that $700 worth of tools were taken from his utility building during a break-in. Kenneth Bullard, 804 Groves St., said thieves took a radio, trans receiver, set of speakers, a spotlight and 15 country tapes valued at $725 from his van parked at his residence. Toby Stidham, 610 W. Church St., Cherryville, reported theft of his car battery. Phyllis Chambers, Landmark Apts., reported that his car tag was stolen. The number on the license plate is YYP 632. Mill Outlet, KM Plaza, reported that someone took the keys to the firms’ cash register. Mearl Valentine, 521 Fall- ingwood Drive, reported his tool box valued at $400 was removed by Featured in NROY, SSC POTTERS from his truck. George Clark, Shelby Road, reported his chain saw was stolen valued at $150. Depot Stop & Go reported that windows were broken out of the building and a money bag taken containing undetermined amount of cash. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Testman Hayes; three sons, Ricky Hayes of Gastonia and Roger and Neal Hayes, both of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Judy Day of Bessemer City and Vickie Sears of Gastonia; three brothers, Paul Hayes of Dallas, Clyde Hayes of Bessemer City and Johnny Hayes of Atlanta, Ga., and 11 grandchildren. He was a disabled veteran. MILDRED COX Mildred Cobb Cox, 76, of 204 South Tracy Street, Kings Mountain, died Monday at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Anderson County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late John and Virginia Smith Cobb and the widow of the late Benjamin Franklin Cox. She was a member of Kings Mountain Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Robert Cox of Kings Creek, S.C.; two daughters, Martha Poteat of McClain, Va., and Sarah Shaw of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Helen Cobb of Greenville, S.C., Susie Belcher of Grier, S.C., and Betty Cely of Easley, S.C.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
