meeting is to offer builders,
architects: and other in-
terested persons practical in-
formation on the use of wood
in home construction. Em-
phasis will be placed on cost
and energy saving building
techniques.
It is estimated that the in-
formation could save
builders from $150 to $500 in
the construction of an
average house. It could also
result in the wood lasting
longer and being more sat-
sifactory to the homeowner.
The February 22 meeting
is one of ten such meetings
planned across North
Carolina in late January and
February. Speakers will
come from the Extension
Service at North Carolina
State University and the
American Plywood Associa-
tion. 7
Persons ‘interested in at-
tending the meeting should
contact the Cleveland County
Extension Office or the local
chapter of the North Carolina
‘Home Builders’ Association.

When you're out of
work you're out of luck.
Unless you've
planned ahead.
If your paycheck should
halt, the bills will keep right
on coming.
When the unexpected
happens--an accident, a
long illness, loss of your
job--you may soon find
yourself in a financial hole
that’s just too deep for you
‘to crawl out of.
The answer, of course,
is to set aside enough
money from every pay-
check to take care of the
times when there is no
paycheck.
We know that’s easier
said than done. But it can
be done, if you set goals
which are realistic to your
pocketbook . . . then stick
by them.
So stop by Home Federal
and let us tell you about
our many different savings
plans. But please, do it to-
day, before the unexpected
happens.
