Basketball Camp at Gardner-:
Webb College last week.
Both girls were selected to
the All-Star team.
During the week, they
learned to master the fun--
damentals of bsketball, offen- .
sive and defensive skills and
gained valuable experience
by playing against some of
the county’s best competi-
tion. Carmen won the best
defensive player award for
her league. Tessie and two
other participants were
awarded the Three on Three
Award.

The Kings Mountain Invita-
tional Tennis Tournament
will be played July 19-21 at
the Kings Mountain High
courts.
Entry fee is $2. Tennis balls
will be provided. Winners in
each division will receive gift
certificates.
The tournament is open to
girls, boys, men and women.
There will be competition in
12-under boys and girls (in-
termediate and beginners),
boys and girls 13-14 ‘in-
termediate, men’s and
women’s adult-15 (in-
termediate and advanced),
and adult-15 mixed doubles.
