bride’s wedding gown was a
formal design of white taffeta
with high neckline, elbow
sleeves and lace trimmed full
skirt enhanced by train. Her
lace trimmed hat was drop-
ped with an illusion veil and
she carried a bridal bouquet
of white roses and baby’s

At Dixon Presbyterian
Dixon Presbyterian Church
provided the setting Satur-
day, June 22, for the wedding
of Donna Dale Moss and Dan-
ny Carl Goforth.
The Rev. Graham Wood
heard the exchange of vows
in the double-ring ceremony
which included the lighting of
the Unity candle. The church
was decorated with lighted
tapers in wrought-iron
candelabrum and
background greenery.
Crystal Thornburg was
pianist for the program of
nuptial music.
The bride, given in mar-
riage by her father, wore a
formal wedding gown of
white lace trimmed with pink
tulle and ribbon and designed
with off-shoulder V neckline,
all over lace bodice and lace
sleeves with tiers of ruffles
laced with pink ribbon enhan-
cing the very full Southern
Belle-designed skirt. Her pic-
ture hat of lace and tulle was
‘dropped with veil which ex-
tended in the back as well as
to a face veil. She carried a
bouquet of pink and mauve
flowers.
Kim Moss attended her
sister as maid of honor and
bridesmaids were Libbie Up-
church, Debbie Goforth,
sister of the bridegroom,
Brenda Stroupe, all of Kings

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ken-
neth Richards, who were wed
June 29th, have returned
from a wedding trip to the
North Carolina mountains,
and are residing at 503 S. Bat-
tleground Avenue. Bridesmaids were Emily

double-ring ceremony. After
their exchange of vows, the
bridal pair lighted a Unity
Candle.
The altar of the church was
arranged with lighted tapers,
white silk flowers and
background greenery.

was pianist for the program
of music and Lynn Hamric-
mk of Shelby was soloist. She

designed of white bridal satin
and lace and featured a lace
bodice with long, lace sleeves

Mackey of Unionville, Ohio announce the engagement of their
daughter, Tina Elizabeth, to Mark Ordway McSwain, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Luther R. McSwain of Kings Mountain. Miss
Mackey and Mr. McSwain are both 1985 graduates of Lenoir-
Rhyne College. Miss Mackey is presently seeking a teaching
position in the North Carolina school system. Mr. McSwain
will be attending Wake Forest University School of Law. No
date has been set for the wedding.
