The fitted bodice covered in Alencon lace top- ped with pearls on sequins, leg of mutton sleeves and satin bows on shoulders. The flared skirt was chapel length edged with galloon lace with pearls on sequins. The chapel length veil of illusion of net edged with galloon lace with pearls on sequins attached to a satin head band and alen- con lace. The gown and veil was designed and made by the bride and her mother. The bride carried a bouquet of summer flowers with baby’s breath and ivy. Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Miss Pamela Wray of Blacksburg. Her gown of pastel pink of crepe-backed satin had fitted bodice and flared skirt with puff sleeves with bows on the shoulders. She carried a bouquet of sum- mer flowers. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Mullinax of Gaffney and grandson of Mrs. Edna Shell of Gaffney. Following the ceremony the bride’s parents and fami- ly hosted a reception. The tables were covered with lace cloths and a pink and white color scheme was carried out. Serving dishes from the bride’s grandmothers and great-grandmother were us- ed. A three-tier white wed- ding cake was decorated with pink flowers and love birds, with a bride and groom on top as a center piece. After a wedding trip to the Western North Carolina Mountains Mr. and Mrs. Scott Mullinax will make their home at Route 3, Blacksburg. Following the wedding rehearsal Saturday the bride’s parents hosted a cookout for the wedding par- ty. The bride chose the occa- sion to present gifts to her at- tendants. On Sunday, June 2, the bride-elect was honored with a drop-in miscellaneous shower at the Antioch Com- munity Center given by Joyce Fowler, Hazel Canipe, Barbara Moss and Pam Wray. She received many useful gifts from the guests who called between the hours of 2 and 4 pam. On Sunday, June 23, Miss Wray was honored with a linen shower given by the An- tioch Current Mission Group. The bridegroom’s father was best man. : Groomsmen were Sandy Moss and Danny Moss, both of Kings Mountain, brothers of the bridegroom; Danny Williams of Kings Mountain, Roger Goforth of Kings Mountain, brother of the bridegroom, and Chuck Worcester of Gastonia. Both the mother of the bride and the mother of the bridegroom chose pink chif- fon street-length dresses and shoulder corsages of pink and mauve roses. Wanda Gsellman presided at the bride’s register. Michelle Grigg distributed rice bags to guests and Rita M. Hagens directed the wed- : ding. After the ceremony, the bride’s parents entertained at a pink and white wedding reception in the ‘church fellowship hall. Assisting in receiving and entertaining were Libbie Upchurch, Rita Moss, Wanda Gsellman, Doris Upchurch and Debbie Moss. The bride’s table, highlight of decoration, was overlaid with a lace over pink cloth and ‘was centered with the pink and mauve three-tiered wedding cake enhanced by a fountain. The cake was cut and served with punch and party refreshments. The bride is the daughter of Darvin (Lefty) and Josephine Moss of Kings Mountain and is the grand- daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith of Kings Mountain. She is a 1978 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School. Gene and Mary Goforth of Kings Mountain are the parents of the bridegroom who is the grandson of Mrs. Teal Childers of the Dixon Community. A 1977 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School, he owns Little Dan’s of Kings Mountain and Gastonia. The newlyweds have returned from a wedding trip to Clearwater Beach, Fla. and are residing on Stonehaven Lane in Gastonia.
