structed on Parcel No. 29 in
the downtown redevelopment
district were approved by the
city board of commissioners
Monday night.
The two doctors bought the
property from the city for
$3,050, located on the north
side of West King Street
about 400 feet West of Watter-
son and King Intersection.
The McDaniel-Howard pro-
perty brings to 16 the number
of individuals who have ac-
quired property from the city
for redevelopment.
Dr. McDaniel, who owns
and operates Kings Mountain
Eye Clinic, told the board
that the new construction
would provide 6,000 square
feet of office space and would
house offices for both himself
and Dr. Howard, Kings
Mountain dentist, and include
a leasable tenant space.
There would be adequate
parking with 29 spaces plus
