Brunch Honors ~ Couple Pam Kwiatkowski and Jeff Hedden, who were married Saturday, July 27th at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe E. Hedden, on Meadowbrook Road in Kings Mountain, were honored at a Brunch on their wedding day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John O. Plonk on Piedmont Ave. Entertaining with the Plonks were Mr. and Mrs. James E. Anthony, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Carpenter, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. J. Fred Withers. Special guests were the bride-elect’s mother, Mrs. Wilson Lewell of Chat- tanooga, Tennessee, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hedden, pares of the bridegroom-to- e. Also attending were members of the wedding par- ty and out-of-town guests. Seasonal flowers decorated the home. Harrys Married Saturday From Page 1-B with white lace over tulle and held the three-tiered rose cake topped with fresh miniature roses as decorative highlight. Dr. and Mrs. Milton M. Hagen of Route 4, Kings Mountain, are parents of the bride who is a 1980 graduate ‘of Kings Mountain Senior High School and a 1982 graduate of Gaston College with a liberal arts degree and a 1985 graduate of the Univer- sity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with B.A. Degree in psychology. She was a member of the Wesley Foun- dation and Psi Chi, National Honor Society of Psychology. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Forrest Harry of Route 1, Moyock, N.C. He is a 1981 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in Economics and Political Science and a 1984 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law where he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega and Chi Psi fraternities and was a Morehead Scholar. He is a member of the North Carolina and Virginia Bar Associations and is an associate in the law firm of Howell, Daughterty, Brown and Lawrence of Norfolk, Virginia. After a wedding trip to the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia, the newlyweds wi be at home in Norfolk, a. Dinner Honors Couple Miss Ellen Bridges and Kevin Schneider were honored Friday evening by their parents at a rehearsal dinner in Carson Memorial Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Hosting the dinner party for members of the two families and the wedding par- ty were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bridges of Kings Mountain and Mr. and Mrs. John Schneider of North Carver, Massachusetts. The wedding colors of lavender and white featured decorative details and table appointments. Julie Timms and Mary Leigh Broadwell won the championship flight with scores of 87, 74, and 161 followed by Doris Cloninger and Pegey Jackson who plac- ed second. In the first flight, Elaine Grigg and Doris Houze plac- ed first and Scarlett Cook and Betty Hampton won second place. RAITT TT Te In the “second flight, Sue Ann Cloninger and Donna Russ were first place winners and Maggie Jenkins and Brenda Ross placed second. Eight Kings Mountain women golfers participated in the recent two-day golfing event sponsored by the Foothills League at High Meadows Country Club in Roaring Gap. Attending from Kings Mountain were .Marg Yancey, Phyllis Corn, Mary Leigh Broadwell, Julie PTR TTT TT Ts WAPI PUTIN Timms, Ginny Arnette, Margaret Williams, Linda Rhome and Peggy Jackson. Winners were Peggy Jackson, second low gross in Third Flight; Ginny Arnette, fourth low gross in Fourth Flight; Linda Rhome, fifth low gross and Marg Yancey, fifth low net, in Fourth Flight. The Foothills League will meet in Lenoir Sept. 12th. Local women planning to par- ticipate in the tournament are invited to sign up at the pro shop at Kings Mountain Country Club.
