KATE BOLLS Memorial services for Mrs. Kate McChesney Bolls, 68, of 504 Allison Court, who died Sunday in Charlotte Memorial Hospital, were con- ducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. from Boyce Memorial ARP Church. A retired schoolteacher, Mrs. Bolls was graduated in 1938 from Erskine College and served as Director of Christian Education at Presbyterian churches in Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina and was remedial and reading English teacher for many years. She was a member of Pocket Presbyterian Church in Sanford. She and her husband, Rev. A.R. (Dick) Bolls, retired Presbyterian minister, recently retired in Kings Mountain, moving to Kings Mountain from Sanford. Born August 4, 1917, she was a native of Kingstree, S.C., daughter of the late Paul Stanley and Julia Town- send McChesney. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Rev. Donald M. Bolls of Aiken, S.C. and David E. Bolls of Charlotte; four brothers, Sam McChesney of North Augusta, S.C., Hugh McChesney of Manteo, Judge Paul McChesney of Spartan- burg, S.C., and James Mc- Chesney of Spartanburg, S.C., two sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Bushkovich of Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Claudia Stallworth of Clinton, S.C. and one grandchild. ANNELIA LOCKRIDGE Annelia Faye Lockridge, ‘29, of 830 First Street, died Tuesday at her home. A native of Cleveland Coun- ty, she was the daughter of Campbell and Lois Harrill Lockridge. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and was employed by Brian Center in Gastonia. In addition to her parents, she is survived one brother, Calvin Lockridge of Smyrna, Ga.; and one sister, Delia L. Brown of Kings Mountain.
