Kate McChesney Bolls, 68, of
504 Allison Court, who died
Sunday in Charlotte
Memorial Hospital, were con-
ducted Tuesday at 1 p.m.
from Boyce Memorial ARP
Church.
A retired schoolteacher,
Mrs. Bolls was graduated in
1938 from Erskine College
and served as Director of
Christian Education at
Presbyterian churches in
Alabama, North Carolina,
and South Carolina and was
remedial and reading
English teacher for many
years. She was a member of
Pocket Presbyterian Church
in Sanford.
She and her husband, Rev.
A.R. (Dick) Bolls, retired
Presbyterian minister,
recently retired in Kings
Mountain, moving to Kings
Mountain from Sanford.
Born August 4, 1917, she
was a native of Kingstree,
S.C., daughter of the late
Paul Stanley and Julia Town-
send McChesney.
Surviving, in addition to
her husband, are two sons,
Rev. Donald M. Bolls of
Aiken, S.C. and David E.
Bolls of Charlotte; four
brothers, Sam McChesney of
North Augusta, S.C., Hugh
McChesney of Manteo, Judge
Paul McChesney of Spartan-
burg, S.C., and James Mc-
Chesney of Spartanburg,
S.C., two sisters, Mrs. Mary
B. Bushkovich of Charleston,
S.C., Mrs. Claudia Stallworth
of Clinton, S.C. and one
grandchild.

Mr. Dobbins was a native
of Gaston County and son of
the late June Dobbins and
Mrs. Lula Falls of Kings
Mountain. He was a retired
textile shipping clerk and a
veteran of World War II with
service in the U.S. Army. He
was a member of American
Legion Post 155.
Surviving, in addition to his
mother, are his wife, Martha

brother, Rev. Fred Falls, Jr.
of Gastonia; one sister, Betty
Reinhardt of Blacksburg,
S.C., half sister, Nancy Short
of Kings Mountain.
