STEPHEN EUGENE WILSON (Penny June Greene) j Wilsons Wed On Saturday First United Methodist Church of Gastonia was the scene of the 5 p.m. Saturday wedding of Miss Penny June Greene and Stephen Eugene Wilson. Rev. David Lawrence of- ficiated at the double-ring ceremony for which wedding music was presented by Mrs. Elizabeth Miller at the organ. The bride was ‘given in marriage by her father. John Hallowell of Gastonia was the bridegroom’s best man. Mrs. Cathy Roberts attend- ed the bride as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Tommie McLeymore of Gastonia, Mrs. Darlene Stine of Kings Mountain and Miss Pauline Wilson of Gastonia. Amber Graves was flower girl. Larry Stine of Kings Moun- tain ushered with Steve Psaurdois of Lowell and Jesse Greene, Jr. of Kings Mountain, brother of the bride. The bride’s parents enter- tained after the ceremony at a reception in the church fellowship hall. : Mr. and Mrs. Jesse H. Greene of Kings Mountain are parents of the bride who is a graduate of Kings Moun- tain Senior High School, Gaston College and the University of North Carolina’ at Charlotte. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wilson of San Diego, California. He is a graduate of Grossmont High School of San Diego, San Diego State University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a U.S. Army veteran. After a trip to the North Carolina coast, the newlyweds are at home at 1196 Apt. H, Fern Forest Drive, Gastonia. JOSEPH DIXON (Pamela Wray) Wray-Dixon Couple Wed In Blacksburg Ceremony Miss Pamela Jean Wray and Joseph Guess Dixon were united in marriage at Buffalo Baptist Church in Blacksburg, S.C. on September 7 at 7 p.m. The Rev. Randy Helms was officiating minister in the candlelight doublering ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles William Wray, and the grand- daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hugh Canipe of Kings Mountain, and Mrs. Eunice Wray and the late James Wray of Blacksburg. Brass candelabras enhanc- ed with ivy and holding lighted cathedral tapers il- luminated the altar. The cou- plo lit a Unity Candle after kneeling on a kneeling bench. Baskets holding ar- rangements of various white flowers complimented the setting. The windows were TRENA KAY JONES enhanced with hurricane globes and mauve candles ac- cented with ivy. A prelude of nuptial music was rendered by the pianist, Kyle Wilson. Mrs. Bett Floyd sang, ‘‘Love Will Grow’’ and ‘The Lord’s Prayer.” Escorted and given in mar- riage by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory bridal satin, featuring a fitted satin bodice with victorian neckline and yoke of alencon lace accented with a rose ap- plique. The long Juliet sleeves, fitted from elbows to wrists, were enhanced with a rose applique and matching’ lace. The flowing skirt ex- ‘tended inté a cathedral train” edged with Valenciennes lace and rose appliques. ; - Complimenting the brides gown was a cathedral length veil of bridal illusion edged with narrow Valenciennes lace attached to a crown ac- cented with pearls, petals, and cut crystals.
