HOUSTON DISTRICT 2 COMMISSIONER Dear Friends, Ihave served on the Board of Commissioners for three terms, covering a span of ten years and again, with ten years of experience, I am running for re-election to continue the efforts of working toward Economic Growth and Progress of our City. The following are some of the accomplishments I have helped to initiate in the past and present administration: 1. Enlargement of the Water Treatment Plant from 4 million gallons a day to 8 million gallons a day; the same at the waste treatment plants, 4 million gallons a day to 8 million gallons a day. 2. Completion of a new Governmental Facilities Center Building (City Hall.) 3. Construction of a Public Works Complex. 4. The Depot Center Completed to serve the Aging Program in our City. Some of the committees I have served on in the past administrations and currently serving on at the present: ePersonnel - Chairman sSupply Committee - Chairman sEfficiency Committee - Member oUtility District Committee - Member eAnnexation Committe - Chairman eElectrical System Extension Committee - Chairman Drainage Committee - Chairman sEmergency Operations Committee Chairman There are three programs, I want to see become a reality: Hydro-Electric Plant at Moss Lake - could materialize in about 18 to 24 months. Annexation Program - the first step, in accordance with the State Statute on Annexa- tion, has been taken. Utility District - KMUD - Kings Mountain Utility District - a continuous program as the need for water and sewer needs grow. I think the time of the generous government support to municipalities is over, and three programs I support above are, at their completion, revenue-producing. I'have a lot of faith in our City and our Citizens, and if your concern for our City is the same as mine, get out and vote. Make your choice wisely and in a constructive Sincerely, manner. fers 7c dr. SL HUMES HOUSTON Candidate For Re-Election as Commissioner, District II | WILL APPRECIATE YOUR VOTE AND SUPPORT Paid Pol.
