eT Workshop Slated Is refinishing that old table or chair on your list of things to do this fall? The N.C. Agricultural Extension Ser- vice will sponsor a lec- ture/demonstration in fur- niture refinishing on Monday, October 7, 7:00 p.m. in Kit- chen I of the County Office Building. Gary Locke from the Broadnax Refinishing Company will present the program. He will discuss and demonstrate wood apprecia- tion, care, how to make minor repairs, and how to refinish furniture. Two furniture refinishing workshops are scheduled for Tuesday, October 8, 1-3 p.m., and Wednesday, October 9, 9-12 noon. Participants will enroll for 1 workshop and will bring a piece of furniture to work on. Refinishing kits will be purchased at the workshop. Call Nancy H. Abasiekong, Home Economics Extension Agent (482-4365) for details and to register by September 27. A minimum class size is required.
