King St., dur- ing a break-in over the weekend, according to report of Kings Mountain Police Department. Thieves entered the building by breaking a door on the north side. In other incidents under in- vestigation by KMPD, Marty Blanton, Secretary to Chief J.D. Barrett, reported: Kings Mountain Pool & Garden, 124 S. Railroad Ave., reported the theft of $15 in silver from coin boxes. Patricia Breakfield, 807 First St., reported a lost or stolen check in the amount of $247 and Charlie Mae Witt, 813 First St., reported the theft of a $33 check and as of Oct. 17th had not received a monthly check which she told lice may have been stolen rom her mailbox. Steve Murphrey, 817 E. Gold St., reported that van- dals broke the taillights on his car. Lamar Fletcher, 409 Baker St., reported that glass was shattered on his vehicle. Veronica Huffman, Route 4, reported that her car was damaged while parked in front of the Joy Theatre on Railroad Ave. Kings Mountain Rescue Squad, 312 E. Parker St., reported theft of coins from a Pepsi vending machine. Robert Ernst, 910 Church St., reported that the wind- shield was broken on his car. Jim Testa Chevrolet Body Shop, 615 Broadview Dr., reported the theft of two fire extinguishers and two T-top:; valued at $775. North School, 900 Ramseur St., reported that flowers in front of the school were damaged by vandals and a window was broken out. Hosea Hernandez, 609 W. Mountain St., reported theft of a camera valued at $150.
