He is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Lucille Oliver Herndon;
two sons, Chuck Herndon and
Philli Herndon of
Greensboro; two brothers,
Fred Herndon and Henderson
Herndon of Kings Mountain;
six grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
Services were conducted
Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First
Baptist Church, where he
was a member. Burial was in
Bethlehem United Methodist
Church cemetery.

Outpatient precautions to take
Anesthesia is not minor. While outpatient
surgery seems minor because you don’t stay in
the hospital overnight, be sure to take certain
precautions.
After outpatient surgery, have someone drive
you home and watch for signs of problems, such
as nausea. Be sure not to operate any vehicle for
at least 24-hours due to anesthesia after-effects.
Do not drink alcohol or take medications the first
full day, as these may interact with the anesthetic
still in your body.
Outpatients recover at home. Make sure you
follow doctor’s orders, so you, too, will recover.
