ea — = = A = i A To the editor: We are ve utility bills of so many of the citizens in our community. Although we were aware that there would be a rate increase, we did not expect bills to double or to tri riod Pots during this time especially and are not prepared for a “disaster” such as this one. There are those of us who do not use washers and dryers and who do not heat with electricity or gas--and yet our bills have gone over $100 a month to just use the lights sparingly, run a television and a very few other appliances, and take an occasional quick shower. We feel certain that something is wrong. This document has been signed by citizens who believe that the sharp increase of two or three times the December bill seems unjustified. We want you to explain this to the entire community. If errors have been made, please work to correct igs Ye elected you and we are depending on you for help in is matter. (ED NOTE: This letter is addressed to Mayor John Henry Moss and the City Commissioners and was signed by 73 per- sons).
